Tejaswin Jha – Topper of AIPMT 2014 – believes in Sound Body for a Sound Mind
Tejaswin – the boy who got AIR 1 in
AIPMT last year – is not a bookworm. He says, “Sports and recreational
activities are absolutely necessary along with your medical exam
preparation. Apart from school and coaching, I used to devote 3 to 4
hours for self-study and then played cricket or indulged myself in other
physical activities. Exercises kept me fit and fresh.”
Tejaswin strategy was to practice his
weak subject more and pay more attention to NCERT books rather than the
heavier scary-looking books. He also advises not to be stressed about
the exam as the stress can only pull you down.
Navsheen Singhal – Topper of AIIMS 2015 – advises Self Study is better than Coaching
Navsheen, who got AIR 1 in AIIMS
this year – says, “I used to study on my own for at least 7 to 8 hours. I
did not rely on ready made notes. I made notes for all the topics myself
and revised them again and again.”
Navsheen agreed that 50% of the
questions asked in the entrance exam were from NCERT. He also revealed
that whenever he felt too burdened with studies, he used to play table
tennis to make himself feel better and get some exerciseIf you are preparing for AIPMT and AIIMS exams, here are the two tips to follow:
- Emphasize more on NCERT books, and
- Catch some exercise. All books and no play will only make you dull.
